This page explains what personal data EasyDarija (easydarija.com) collects when you visit the website, contact us or buy a product, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible for your data
EasyDarija is run by Amine Kajtih, based in Spain. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@easydarija.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, so we can answer you. The form is processed by our hosting provider, Netlify.
- Purchases: when you buy a book, the video course or private lessons, payment is handled by Stripe on its own secure checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe shares with us your name, email address, the product you bought and the payment status, so we can deliver your purchase (for example, send your book by email or give you access to the course) and keep the records required by law.
- Private lessons: if you book lessons, we use your name and email to schedule and hold the classes.
- Usage and cookies: like most websites, our pages and the services below may use cookies and collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and approximate location. See sections 3 and 4.
Our legal bases under the GDPR are: performing a contract with you (purchases and lessons), our legitimate interest in answering messages and running the website, our legal obligations (for example accounting records), and your consent where it is required (for example for advertising cookies).
3. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to show ads on some pages.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), you are asked for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.
4. Other services we use
- Netlify hosts the website and processes the contact form.
- Stripe processes payments (Stripe Privacy Policy).
- Google Analytics may be used to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site), in aggregated form.
- Vimeo hosts the course videos shown to customers.
- Google Translate: if you click the Translate button, the page is opened through Google's translation service.
- Email: we use an email provider to answer messages and deliver purchases.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. They do so under safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep your data
Messages are kept as long as needed to answer you and follow up. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. You can ask us to delete data we no longer need at any time.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it (data portability). Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to contact@easydarija.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
7. Children
Our courses are designed for adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
